I've just this moment made an amendment to a Pub With No Beer including a missing verse.

This is an informative video clip recorded by Joe Brown.  It starts with advice about tuning, but later on he describes a trick George Formby used when strumming.Click to ENLARGE video clip

What a talent and what a lovely fellow! Wish I had my time to come again, but then don't we all!

I've just posted The Band Played Waltzing Matilda, which along with Waltzing Matilda and A Pub With No Beer nicely completes a trilogy of Australian songs.

The Band Plays Waltzing Matilda is a bit of a marathon on the best of days.  I'm not suggesting that we play it.  It's there for people who may wish to practice with it. I've also placed a clip on the Video Clips page of Eric Bogle singing his song at the Sidmouth Folk Festival in 2009.

In addition to Listen to the Rhythm of The Falling Rain I have also updated Blue Skies and April Showers.

Hi Andy, where have all the video clips gone?

If you look at the play list there are little cine icons on the extreme right of each entry.  That is the relevant video clip.  The only video clips on the video clip  page are the ones that are not associated with any particular song.

I'm sorry, I should have explained.

Here's a clip of a beautifully understated version of this old hymn. For those who are up to the challenge I have put together a version of Amazing Grace so you can sing along.  It starts in D, but it modulates to Eb for the last and the repeated first verse.Click to ENLARGE video clip

Re. Have You Ever Seen The Rain, apologies to David Hall! There is indeed a pause between the two halves of each verse.  It's a count of four.Click to ENLARGE video clip

I've just made amendments to the following songs (please note the new rainbow code for additions and updates.  Smart, eh?)

Blue Skies
Have You Ever Seen The Rain
Listen To The Rhythm Of The Falling Rain
Maggie

I'm also about to include a song which for some strange reason has not featured in our medley.

Raining In My Heart

Like most of Buddy Holly's songs it is well crafted, and has some nice little chord progressions in it.

Apologies to all our baritone uke players.  I've only just noticed that the tuning on the top of the chord diagrams is exclusively soprano/concert/tenor tuning.  It has now been corrected!

Thanks to those folk who pointed out the alignment errors in the chord diagrams on recent printouts.  The error has been corrected.  I've run it on all the major browsers and it seems to be ok!
